Docal’s cascade condensers are often installed in systems operating at very low evaporating temperatures while maintaining a plant’s ambient air condensing parameters. In these circumstances, the refrigerant evaporating and condensing phases are performed in several compression steps, thus the presence of a cascade condenser.
The low temperature side of the systems uses the cascade exchanger as a condenser, while the high temperature side uses the cascade exchanger as an evaporator.
Another crucial advantage of Docal’s cascade condenser is the possibility or circulating two different refrigerants through each side of the exchanger, benefiting from the particular thermal properties of the chosen refrigerants (one particularly efficient example is using Ammonia on one side and CO2 on the other side).
All our cascade condensers are custom built to your specifications and are certified according to the latest ASME standards, available with National Board (USA) or CRN (Canada) certifications.
Post-weld Heat treatment and corrosion allowance available as options.
