Since 1962, Docal has been designing, manufacturing and repairing custom-made heat exchangers and pressure vessels for the refrigeration/air conditioning markets and industrial applications. We offers both standard and customized refrigeration solutions while applying high standards of total quality throughout. With the experience gained over the past six decades, we can meet any customer’s specifications, regardless of the liquid or other coolant used, and whatever the desired capacity. 2020 was not just impactfull because of the COVID-19. It was also the year that saw 2 leaders in heat exchangers merge together. With the aquisition of Docal by Thermofin, the companies will now be able to expend and reach new customers and markets, develop new products, improve processes, and will greatly benefit one another.
Both companies already had similarities, like rigorous quality control, fast deliveries and great customer service, and both shared many core values, like honesty, responsability and respect. Thermofin’s factories are conveniently situated near major highways in the municipalities of Candiac, Sainte-Catherine and Lévis, all located in Quebec province. They are easily accessible from the Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport, the Montreal Port and major railways. With 80 000 square feet (7 500 m2) of covered surface, Thermofin’s three manufacturing plants can together produce more than 650 miles (1000 km) of extruded fin tubes per year, making Thermofin one of the major fin tube producer in North America.
